Thanks to a partnership with Shoreline Community College, we’re excited to announce a new project!

Steel Toe Teens!  A Girls Construction Summer Camp

Yes.Teach a kid to use a power tool and before you know it, you’ll have a tiny house in your backyard.

Well, maybe not quite that extravagant...

While it’s doubtful they’ll be ready for an apprenticeship after three days, they will get a taste of what trades people do—It’s a great way to share the empowering possibilities of a trades career.

Here’re the details:

  • Dates:  Wednesday – Friday, July 26 – 28, 2023

  • Times:  9am – 4pm

  • 20 Girls Ages – 11-14

  • Location:  Shoreline Community College, 16101 Greenwood Ave N, Shoreline, WA 98133, Automotive Building

  • Lunch, snacks, drinks provided, thanks to Forma, Inc and Town & Country Markets--Shoreline.

  • Each class features one or two Journey Level Instructors and at least 2 volunteers provided by the Laborers.

  • Trades include:  carpentry, cement masonry, electric, sheet metal and pipe trades

  • Each attendee will come home with a hand-created project from each trade

  • Kids learn about future careers in a fun supportive environment
