Steel Toe Teens! A Girls Construction Summer Camp
Yes.Teach a kid to use a power tool and before you know it, you’ll have a tiny house in your backyard.
Well, maybe not quite that extravagant...
While it’s doubtful they’ll be ready for an apprenticeship after three days, they will get a taste of what trades people do—It’s a great way to share the empowering possibilities of a trades career.
Here’re the details:

Dates: Wednesday – Friday, July 26 – 28, 2023

Times: 9am – 4pm

20 Girls Ages – 11-14

Location: Shoreline Community College, 16101 Greenwood Ave N, Shoreline, WA 98133, Automotive Building

Lunch, snacks, drinks provided, thanks to Forma, Inc and Town & Country Markets--Shoreline.

Each class features one or two Journey Level Instructors and at least 2 volunteers provided by the Laborers.

Trades include: carpentry, cement masonry, electric, sheet metal and pipe trades

Each attendee will come home with a hand-created project from each trade

Kids learn about future careers in a fun supportive environment
